EVENT STAFFING

Events in the theatre will normally require a minimum of two technical staff and two front-of-house staff.

It is a venue requirement that there must always be at least one KPAC technical staff member on-site when any access to the theatre is required, and at least one KPAC front-of-house staff member on site always when there are any audience members in the venue, or when a hirer requires activity in the foyer area.

In consultation with venue staff at the time of booking, the hirer may discuss:

  • that they will provide their own professional, qualified & experienced technical crew, in which case a minimum of one house technical staff member will be required
  • that the technical requirements of the event are so minimal that only one member of technical staff is required
  • that they are a community organisation who would like to nominate one of their volunteers to fulfill the role of one of the front-of-house staff required, and who will work a full shift answering to the KPAC front-of- house staff member.
